We have successfully completed the bespoke task of Creating and facilitating the coordination of the UNICEF Child Friendly Space at the 2010 World Cup FIFA Fan Fest Sites throughout South Africa; together with Childline SA, Olive Leaf Foundation, Child Welfare, SAPS ansSouth African Child Protection Services.

As well as being the Marketing and Sponsorship consultants to The Childline Johannesburg Centre we also endeavor to assist in any and all good works to further the protection of Woman and Children in South Africa.

Project requirements and achievements:

Project Initiation and Planning – Initial stages of the project

Consulting with all stakeholders and setting up the team dynamic accordingly

Documenting the production phases and conducting feasibility studies

Effective planning – assess and advise on the critical path and the various budgeting and costing issues

Setting out the roadmap for the project developing the project schedules

Monitoring, evaluating and controlling the processes

Managing and mitigating project risk

Accepting the solution – staying on track and solving conflict issue

Project meetings and workshops

Effective communications of all parties involved

Time management

Documentation, record keeping and continuing status reports

Site planning (done by Unicef) we will implement and coordinate in order for efficiency and competence to be upheld

Review materials required per site

List and document specifics to ensure all suppliers will be well equip when allocating supplies for each site.

Advise procurement of materials for each site (if current supplier cannot provide or if additional material and supplies is required due to inspection)

Assist and advise with liaison of 2010 Coordinators in each province namely Gauteng (Sandton and Soweto), Kwa-Zulu Natal (Durban), Eastern Cape (Port Elizabeth), Limpopo (Nelspruit)

Draw up cleaning protocol for each site – the company we have previously contacted and recommended to use Prestige Cleaning Services has been allocated the cleaning contract for FIFA, hence procurement and negotiation for additions into the Child Safety Site should be attainable.

Draw up security protocol for site – the company we have previously contacted and recommended to use Moya Security has been allocated the security contract for FIFA, hence procurement and negotiation for additions into the Child Safety Site is easily attainable.

Disaster management

Ensuring the lighting, electricity, heaters, sanitation stations are in a good working condition

Liaise with all service providers and ensure that all are in place and fully equip and at all times and maintain child focused.
