Blu Blood has successfully undertaken the task of bringing top-class children's entertainment to its stages, with productions like Dora the Explorer, The Smurfs Live, PAW Patrol Live!, and CoComelon LIVE: Sing-A-Long.
Blu Blood have also increased their already substantial investment in the arts sector in South Africa by acquiring the management and operation of the iconic landmark venue, Theatre of Marcellus at Emperors Palace in Johannesburg. The company has signed on an additional 5-year contract to continue bringing musicals, comedy shows and theatre productions to local audiences.
In expanding their empire, both Osman and Shaaista have successfully explored other ventures during their careers. Osman Osman was part of the hit South African feature films Material and Material 2 (as producer for the latter). Moving gears from entertainment to sports, Osman is also one of the team owners for the current two-time champions, Northern Warriors of the Abu Dhabi T10 Cricket League.
Shaaista continues to create a platform to empower women through pivotal sustainable projects through her World Women's Network. She is also the Head of Communications for the Commonwealth Businesswomen's Network, which is the only accredited organisation in The Commonwealth empowering women entrepreneurs and businesswomen.
Shaaista played an integral role in assisting the United Nations Refugee Agency with an appeal campaign for refugees and hosted the first ever UN Iftar on African soil. In 2010, she facilitated the coordination of the UNICEF Child Friendly spaces at the FIFA World Cup fan fest sites around South Africa.
